This Privacy Policy explains how Basalt Labs LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit basaltlabs.agency, contact us, or buy our services or products.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, company name, budget range and message when you submit our contact form or email us, and information you share during a project.
- Billing information: when you pay, our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) collect your payment details. We receive limited information such as your name, email, billing address, and the last four digits and type of your card. We never store full card numbers.
- Technical information: our hosting provider automatically processes standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability.
We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
2. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and prepare proposals;
- To provide, bill and support our services and products;
- To send transactional messages such as invoices, receipts and service notices;
- To secure our Site, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
For visitors in the EU and UK, we process data to respond to your request, to perform a contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running and securing the Site. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Hosting, content delivery and security (Cloudflare);
- Payment processing (Stripe, PayPal);
- Email and internal messaging (contact form submissions are delivered to our team via Telegram).
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, or to authorities where required by law.
4. Retention
We keep inquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact, and client and billing records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (generally up to 7 years). We then delete or anonymize it.
5. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA, and the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate.
8. Children
Our Site and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
